Web Cube MailChimp Integration

MailChimp is an online e-mail marketing solution for managing contacts, sending emails and tracking email campaigns. Web Cube provides an easy and intuitive way to send the contact information to lists created on MailChimp. 

Before getting started please make sure you have the MailChimp API key ready. Login into your MailChimp account and go to AccountAPI Keys & Authorized Apps. Click on the Add A Key button and create a new key for your Web Cube integration.


To activate the MailChimp integration on Web Cube:


1. Click on the CMS tab.

2. Click on the Configurations menu items.



3. Click on the Add configuration button.


4. Click on the Mailchimp integration link from the list.



5. Select a Site from the dropdown list.



6. Make sure the Active checkbox is selected.



7. Add your MailChimp API key.



8. Add the MailChimp list name where the contact information will be sent. If you don't have a list created yet login into your MailChimp account and click on the Lists menu item and follow the instructions.



9. Save.

By default all the contact information submitted through the Email Signup field will be sent to MailChimp List specified at step 8.





How to: Automatically create a Web Cube Managed Form from a MailChimp List

Now that we have the MailChimp integration setup we can automatically create a Web Cube Managed Form from a MailChimp List


1. Click on the CMS tab.

2. Click on the Configurations menu items.



3. From the Action dropdown select Run the setup task for the configuration.



4. Check mark the Mailchimp Integration from the list.


5. Click on the Go button.


6. Select a MailChimp list from the Name dropdown. This list is automatically generated based on the existing MailChimp Lists. Click on the Submit button. If the Overwrite Existing option is checked it will overwrite an existing Web Cube Managed Form with the same name.


7. Upon submission a Managed form will be automatically generated and added to the managed from list.


8. Your users will be able to acces the form from the front end. All the form entries will be saved on the Web Cube database and also sent to the MailChimp List you have selected to generate this managed form.



By default all the order information generated using Web Cube will be sent to the MailChimp E-commerce 360.


The MailChimp integration is not currently part of the Web Cube core but it can be added to your installation upon request.
